OUTPUT 10 VDC, 430 AMP, P/N 18334PS

Specifications:

Input: 480 VAC, 3 PH, 60 Hz, P/N 18334PS
Output: 15.5 VDC, 215 Amps (RUN MODE).
Output: 10 VDC, 430 Amps max for approximately 3 minutes (START MODE).
A variable ON DELAY TIMER provides the capability to adjust the START MODE from 0 to 10 minutes.
Ripple: 100 mV (peak to peak) maximum.
A 3 PH variac on the input side allows adjustment of the 15.5 VDC output during RUN MODE.
Enclosure: 50″ H x 36″ W x 26″ D. Unit is pallet jack movable and forklift liftable.
One 10″ fan on the top cover is blowing out.

The purpose of the power supply is to restrict the output current of the cold filament with low resistance during start-up at 430 ADC max for three minutes. After three minutes, when the filament is hot, the resistance is increased to the nominal value. This scheme protects the cold filament from catastrophic failure during start-up. The schematic diagram is shown below.
