IGBT POWER SUPPLY, 72 KW, 0 TO 16 VDC, 4500 AMPS, P/N 6138C1
Description:
MSA Tower switch mode (IGBT) rectifier, air-cooled:
- Modular “building block” design is easily expandable
- < 3% ripple through full output range for consistent process results
- High efficiency (>90%) and power factor through the full output range
- Smaller and lighter than SCR or power stat rectifiers
- 100% duty cycle (rated for 100% output 24/7)
- Corrosion resistant, e-coat primer with powder coat top coat, steel cabinet
- Steel base and removable side panels
- All connections accessible from outside, making maintenance easy
- To remove/add a module: simply loosen screw and cable connections (disassembly of module stack is not necessary)
- DC output through copper bus bars in the back
- All power conductors are made exclusively out of copper
- Current and voltage adjustable from 1% to 100% with wear-free power semiconductors
- Complete modular rectifier concept designed as a ready-to-go system
- Switch mode modules operated in parallel to achieve specified output
- Each module housed in a e-coat primed, powder coated enclosure for maximum corrosion protection
- Design allows for quick and easy replacement of the modules if needed
- 0-10 V analog interface for automatic line control systems
Integrated power module features:
- System consists of one control module, plus one to five power modules
- High efficiency, 19” rack mount switch mode power modules (up to 25kW each) operating in parallel
- Maximum of 5 modules, up to 125kW (up to 7500A depending on VDC)
- Maximum output voltage (depending on model chosen) 45 VDC
- EMC filter to minimize EMC noise to the power grid
- Fully electronic current and voltage control loop
- Highly efficient control and rectification system with galvanic isolation between AC input and DC output
Air cooling system:
- Cooling air flow: air intakes on the bottom of each module and exhausts out the rear of each module
- Minimal cooling air required: variable speed, thermostatically controlled fans
- All sensitive electronics are sealed from the cooling air
- Air is directed only to the heat sinks cooling the power components
- All circuit boards are conformal coated for additional corrosion protection
- Thoughtful design ensures exceptional service life
Main Components:
- Circuit breaker with overcurrent trip function
- EMC filter to reduce noise back to the power grid
- Electronics for constant current and voltage control
- Power distribution panel
Protection Devices:
- Ultra-fast DC over-current protection
- DC short-circuit current limitation
- Over-temperature protection (with indication through potential-free contact)
Controls Interface:
- Set-point adjustment for Volts & Amps: 0 – 10Vdc
- Voltage feedback values: 0 – Volts actual: 0 – 10Vdc
- Current feedback values: 0 – Amps actual: 0 – 10Vdc
- On/Off via potential-free contact (Customer)
- Fault Feedback (Customer)
