On March 22, 1987, Mr. Carl E. Holmes of Carl E. Holmes Company (CEHCO) and Mr. Alexander Bryce of the Burbank Studios were presented a Technical Achievement Award by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences at the 59th Annual Academy Awards for scientific or technical achievement. The Award was made for the development of a mobile DC Power Supply unit for motion picture production photography.
