ABOUT HIGH VOLTAGE SCR CONTROLLED POWER SUPPLIES
High voltage SCR controlled power supplies require the following:

The output voltage is high. Output current is generally Low.

Voltmeter and ammeter display the output voltage and current under load.

Potentiometers are used to adjust the output voltage and limit output current from minimum to maximum.
